A Great Start to the New School Year

The start of a new school year brings new classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities for children to learn and grow. As families settle into new schedules and routines, choosing an activity that children look forward to each week can make the transition even more exciting.

At Dance Academy Virginia (DAV), we believe weekly dance classes offer kids much more than time in the studio. Each class gives students the opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, connect with others, and experience the satisfaction that comes from making progress over time.

A weekly class can also give children something consistent to look forward to outside of school. As students become familiar with their instructors and classmates, they have the chance to form friendships and feel part of a welcoming community. Regular attendance allows them to build on what they learned the week before, work toward new goals, and see their abilities develop throughout the season.

For children adjusting to a new grade or a new school, having a familiar activity each week can be especially meaningful. Dance provides a space where kids can be themselves, express their creativity, challenge themselves, and celebrate their accomplishments – all while having fun.

As you prepare your family’s schedule for the school year, consider making weekly classes at DAV part of your child’s routine. Whether your child is brand new to dance or already loves being in the studio, there is always something new to discover.
