Del Ray Citizens Association

The Del Ray Citizens Association (DRCA) was formed in 1954 as a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization for Del Ray residents and business owners who live, do or own a business or deal with property in Alexandria, Virginia.

The goal of the DRCA is to keep its members informed of many aspects of Alexandria City life, including land use, public safety, volunteer opportunities, City Commissions, Alexandria Public Schools, parks and recreation facilities, transportation, business, housing, and many other major issues which impact quality of life.

The DRCA meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month, September through June. Meeting locations are announced via emails to members, neighborhood signage, the website and social media. See calendar for more details.

The Men’s Home

The purpose of The Men’s Home is “to provide a home-like environment for alcoholics who are sincere in wanting to recover from alcoholism. To provide food, bed, information, fellowship and the sharing of spiritual values which are a part of that recovery. To expose the alcoholic to other recovering alcoholics so that, together, they can regain self-respect, confidence, and a useful place in the community, and to help attain sobriety through the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.” The Home provides an alternative residence and family for the newly recovering man. It encourages new patterns of social relationships and provides a supportive environment to help in the healing process from the disease of alcoholism.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

We are a vibrant community of nearly 450 baptized members of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).  We are single, married, partnered, old, and young men, women, and children striving to live out our faith in the Del Ray community of Alexandria.  Check out our photos and events on Facebook! Rainbow Rock Collection

At every rainbow rock show, we collect new or gently used kids items and make sure to find them a good home. Depending on the time of year, we also have annual collections, like swim suits for summer, school supplies, holiday toy drive, or winter coats! We also put together Tot Rock Festivals to collect items on an even greater scale.
