After a hiatus in 2023, Mt. Vernon Community School PTA is back with a reimagined Big Flea. Instead of a huge sale at the MV Rec Center, this year they’re doing something different: a coordinated community yard sale hosted in various yards across Del Ray. They’ll will take your donations the morning of the event and turn around and sell them–all proceeds benefit the MVCS PTA.
Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 8:30 am-12 pm at various yards in Del Ray — specific locations to be announced — visit mvbigflea.wordpress.com for details closer to the event.
Detailed schedule of the day:
- 7 am – volunteers arrive at the yard sale locations
- 7-8 am – Donations arrive and volunteers set up sale
- 8:30 am – sale starts – no early birds!
- 12 pm- sale ends
- 12-2 pm – everything is free but donations suggested & appreciated
- 2-3 pm – volunteers move unsold items to curb and post curb alerts
