Please note new date due to weather: The Del Ray Business Association is celebrating National Gardening Month with First Thursday: Del Ray in Bloom! on Thursday, April 11 from 6 p.m. to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue. Join the Del Ray community for live music and themed activities at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (Oxford & Mt. Vernon Avenues), including children’s gardening activities, an “Ask the Expert” booth with the Arlington Master Gardeners, an air plant and succulents how-to demonstration with Amy Eggers, a neighborhood plant/bulb swap, plus a pop-up market in front of Magpie Reclamations on the 2200 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, featuring local artisans and entrepreneurs.
Come dig Del Ray to benefit the Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys & Girls Club! The event is free and open to all; participants are encouraged to bring individually-wrapped children’s snacks and juice boxes for the Boys & Girls Club. Donations will be collected at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, located at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues.
