Aces of Alexandria:

In 2008, several Alexandria city leaders decided to assemble a collegiate baseball team to join the Cal Ripken Collegiate League. There are currently 12 leagues in the US with the Cal Ripken League (CRCBL) serving the greater Washington area.  A non-profit organization, the Alexandria Aces organization’s main goal is to give back to the community and to foster baseball careers for college players. This program has many benefits for college players who aspire for professional careers since both the American and National Leagues send scouts to these games.  The community benefits are many, including the fact that these games are held at Frank Mann Field, a local stadium, with low price ticket entry so everyone can enjoy the evening watching serious baseball with their young children being introduced to this profession in a welcoming atmosphere.
