First Thursday: Aloha Thursday takes place on Thursday, August 5 from 6pm to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray. Wear your most outrageous Hawaiian shirt and join this street festival featuring live music by Mars Rodeo, themed activities, and more. The event is free and open to all.
This month’s featured non-profit is Friends of Guest House. Since its founding in 1974, Guest House has helped more than 3,000 women break the vicious cycle of incarceration, reunite with their families, and reintegrate into their communities. Learn more at friendsofguesthouse.org.
