Join the City of Alexandria and the Friends of Rocky Versace for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at the Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial, outside the Mount Vernon Recreation Center (2701 Commonwealth Avenue). Gold Star Family Members, Rocky Versace’s USMA 1959 Classmates, brothers-in-arms, high school friends and others will gather with the community to remember Alexandria’s 68 Vietnam War Fallen Heroes. Program includes the Star-Spangled Banner, reading the names of the 68 Alexandrians whose names are on the Memorial, a wreath laying, sounding of “TAPS” and singing of “God Bless America.”
