First Thursday
Join us along the Avenue from 6-9 PM on the first Thursday of each month May through September. Each month's First Thursday has a theme. Businesses stay open late, there is live music, delicious foods, and family-friendly entertainment.
Art on the Avenue
Each year, the first Saturday of October brings Art on the Avenue, a huge outdoor art festival featuring hundreds of local and regional artists. In addition to art, there is live music, delicious food. It's a great way to spend the day!
Halloween Parade
Always held the Sunday before Halloween, this is a one-of-a-kind Halloween celebration. Hundreds of participants come decked out in their most creative costumes. There are awards presented for best pet costume and best stroller decoration.
Held on every year on Thanksgiving morning, the Turkey Trot attracts thousands of runners and spectators.
Tree Lighting/Luminarias
In early December, the entire community comes together to light our neighborhood Christmas tree. Even Santa attends! This joyous celebration is followed by an evening stroll down the Avenue, which is illuminated by hundreds of candles (called "luminarias"), which are lit every year in honor of our beloved Nancy Dunning.
